Monday is the last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania’s May 17 primary.
Those wishing to vote in the election who are not already registered must complete a registration application by Monday.
Applications can be completed online through a site operated by the Pennsylvania Department of State or can be delivered by Monday to the county voter registration office where the applicant resides.
Officials recommend having your Pennsylvania driver’s license or equivalent ID on hand to refer to when completing the application.
To register, the candidate must be 18 years old on the day of the election. For at least 30 days before the election, the applicant must also be a US citizen and resident of Pennsylvania and a given local electoral district.
The voter registration application can be completed online or downloaded by visiting www.pavoterservices.pa.gov and selecting “Voter Registration – NEW!” under the heading “Voter Services”.
The online form can also be used by already registered voters who have changed their name or moved to a new address.
Those with questions about registering to vote can email [email protected] or call 1-877-868-3772.
